Comment on What you didn’t know about Stans – Grab a Coffee by Andrew https://www.merlincycles.com/blog/what-you-didnt-know-about-stans-grab-a-coffee/#comment-236747 Wed, 11 Feb 2026 21:23:06 +0000 https://www.merlincycles.com/blog/?p=47858#comment-236747 I appreciate how the “What You Didn’t Know About Stan’s, Grab a Coffee” piece on Merlin Cycles goes beyond mere gear talk to celebrate the pioneering heart behind Stan’s tubeless technology, showing how a simple frustration with punctures turned into innovation that gives riders more comfort, fewer flats, and more time on the trails; it’s a story of passion born from personal experience, explained with warmth and clarity about why tubeless setups matter, how sealant works, and what it takes to make the switch, reminding us that creativity and purpose in any craft, whether writing about bikes or living life, begins with curiosity and care.

Comment on Shimano V Sram V Campagnolo–FIGHT!? by Andrew Porter https://www.merlincycles.com/blog/shimano-v-sram-v-campagnolo-fight/#comment-236531 Fri, 06 Feb 2026 08:11:16 +0000 https://www.merlincycles.com/blog/?p=19225#comment-236531 Campagnolo parts are easy to repair when needed, but are very durable in comparison to Shimano. Better finish on aluminium alloy parts, very few tools needed for servicing, but only from 11 speed upwards have Campagnolo used the same sprocket spacing as Shimano and SRAM. Finding Campagnolo compatible sprocket cassettes is very difficult compared to alternatives to those made by SRAM and Shimano, but at least Campagnolo now offer rear wheels with a Shimano and SRAM compatible freewheel body. A pity that Campagnolo have ceased to make pedals.

I particularly appreciated how you balanced scientific detail with practical, everyday food suggestions. The mix of animal, and plant based protein sources makes the list accessible to different dietary preferences. The tips about incorporating options like quinoa, Greek yogurt, and nuts into regular meals were especially useful. Overall, this is a helpful guide for cyclists who want to support performance and recovery through nutrition.

Comment on New Fox Podium Fork – Worth All The Hype? by Zen https://www.merlincycles.com/blog/new-fox-podium-fork-worth-all-the-hype/#comment-224903 Thu, 26 Jun 2025 00:16:39 +0000 https://www.merlincycles.com/blog/?p=48043#comment-224903 The reverse stanchions in the Fox Podium seem like a game-changer, especially when considering the reduction in unsprung mass. I’m curious how this compares to other high-end forks when it comes to real-world trail performance.
